Rainbow Dress steals Olympics Opening Ceremony, Tokyo 2021

The Colour Feed:

It's not just about going for gold at the Olympics as the openning night in Tokyo proved. Amidst all the usual fanfare, processions and parades, there was one outfit that stole the show and it was inspired by rainbows! Japanese singer Misia wore a frilly ice-cream ballgown with ombre pastel rainbow puffs designed by Japanese Designer Tomo Koizumi when she performed the national anthem. The colours were 'spray painted' on and set against the dark backdrop, it brought creative couture to an otherwise formal event. The show was watched by a global audience of 17 million people and it was great to see colour hogging the headlines!
